Latresha Davidson Woods is the published author of several impactful works, including Forty Days of Poetry & Praise, Morning Meditations, A Firm Foundation in Vocal Fundamentals, My Prayer Journal, Chocolate Children, The Color of Me, Who Am I, Brown Girl, and Brown Boy.
She is the creator and weekly host of Hear My Heart Podcast with Latresha, where she shares heartfelt insights and inspiration. In addition, she is an enlisted writer for Lifeway, contributing regularly to the YOU Sunday School and Bible curriculum, a quarterly publication with over two million readers. An inspirational speaker, Latresha has had the opportunity to speak at conferences, workshops, and events across the United States—both virtually and in person. She is frequently invited to share her story and wisdom, and has also hosted events of her own.

A retired music educator with 26 years of experience, Latresha continues to serve as a private vocal coach. She is also a Paparazzi Consultant and the grand prize winner of the Southern Lights Competition. Her talents in both music and writing have taken her nationwide, where she has consistently inspired others through her gifts.
Latresha is the wife of a pastor who formerly served as Vice President of the Florida Baptist Convention of the Southern Baptist Convention, Inc. She herself has held several leadership roles within the Baptist Convention, including two terms as second-in-command for the Children’s Rally of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Latresha and her husband have three adult children, a sweet daughter-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
Throughout her career, Latresha has made both national and international connections in the literary and musical worlds. She has written stage plays for children and youth, preparing them for paid performances, and led a student performance group that toured nationally. Under her leadership, her students have earned educational scholarships and performed twice at the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
Well-connected in the educational, religious, musical, and literary sectors, Latresha continues to serve with excellence and purpose.
